Village of Alliance 2025 Municipal Election

The local Authorities Election Act requires a Register of Candidates to be maintained of those that have filed a Notice of Intent to Run and that it be publicly available on the website.

Municipal elections in Alberta, including the Village of Alliance, are governed by the Local Authorities Election Act. Eligible voters in Alliance will be called upon to elect a new Village council, typically consisting of three councilors, one of whom is selected by council members to serve as mayor.

Voters in the Village of Alliance and municipalities across Alberta will go to the polls on Monday, October 20, 2025. The polling station for the Village of Alliance will be at the Community Hall  from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm

 Voter Information

To be eligible to run in the 2025 Municipal Election candidates must be:

• At least 18 years old;
• A Canadian citizen;
• A resident of the Village of Alliance for the six consecutive months before nomination day;
• Not otherwise ineligible or disqualified under the Local Authorities Election Act.
