Flagstaff Regional (Killam/Sedgewick) CEK6Airport
The Flagstaff RegionalAirport, located between Killam and Sedgewick at 44271 Rge Rd 131, is owned by Flagstaff County and operated with the assistance of the Iron Creek Flying Club. We offer a 24-hour cardlock fuel system as well as a comfortable terminal facility with most amenities required by recreational pilots.
The nearest airport is Castor (33 km. to the south), while the nearest commercial and air freight services are located in Edmonton.
Rail Services
In June 2009, CNR sold its line from Kelsey to Alliance to BRRNGC (Battle River Railway New Generation Co-operative).
BRRNGC was formed by farmers, businesses, organizations and municipalities along the branch line. As of August 2012, their primary business is producer cars, but they continue to work to expand like the new loading station and scales built in 2016 in Alliance. Friends of the BRRNGC have recently purchased a passenger car for tourism. The Museum has donated the old Lineman's Shack to be used as a Train Station, and so the "Station on the Move" committee was formed to look after repairing and moving the building back close to its former home along the tracks by the memorial park which was completed in the fall of 2016, work continues fixing up the old siding and landscaping.
Highways
Connecting highways are Veterans Memorial Highway 36, leading north to Killam and Hwy #13, and south to Castor and Hwy #12, from Alliance we have Secondary Highway #602, leading east to Secondary Highway #872 which connects Hardisty and Cornation.
